VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, February 7, 2013 – On February 5, 2013, Mr. Guido Cloetens acquired 10,000 common shares (“Common Shares”) of Alberta Star Development Corp. (“Alberta Star”) at a price of $0.16 per Common Share (the “Acquisition”). As a result of the Acquisition, Mr. Cloetens owns 2,139,000 Common Shares, and 175,000 securities convertible into Common Shares, representing approximately 10.8% of Alberta Star’s issued and outstanding Common Shares. Mr. Cloetens is also a director of Alberta Star.

The Common Shares were acquired in the public market on the TSX Venture Exchange. The Common Shares were acquired for investment purposes. In connection with the investment by Mr. Cloetens in the Common Shares, Mr. Cloetens may engage in communications with members of management and the board of directors of Alberta Star, other current or prospective shareholders, industry analysts, existing or potential strategic partners or competitors, investment and financing professionals, sources of credit and other investors with respect to Alberta Star. Mr. Cloetens intends to review his investment in Alberta Star on a continuing basis.
